Yeah, he said they played close to 2 hours 15 minutes. 24 songs is a lot!

Zod, my buddy was close enough to the stage to be able to read the setlist off the floor. He said Walk... and Empire were written on there, but they didn't play them. ?

...and really, why is Symphony X's set not up here yet?!?

Revolution Calling and Empire are my favorite Queensryche songs. I'd be pissed if they didn't play those.

...as for the SX setlist, ask Snowmaker why it hasn't been posted yet. He went I think.

I'm interested as to how a QR fan took symphony x.
He was very impressed. Enough for him to ask me which album he should buy. He mentioned how good Russ was on more than one occasion, and said, "He's got some pipes!" :yell: He was blown away by the talent of the rest of the guys too. We'll see if we have a new fan....

only five more days to wait.

sym x better play one of their really long songs, like the oddysey would be great to hear again

No, we ended up not going. None of us could justify paying over $40 a ticket.
I am honestly glad I didn't go. 40 bucks for 6 songs I've already seen isn't exactly a good deal. When I paid 35 bucks to see Dream Theater play for 3 hours and do ALL songs I've NEVER seen live before... now that was a good deal.

Let me also add that it was the 3rd time I've seen them live.

I'm guessing it's already been posted but just in case, SX's setlist in Detroit was:

Inferno, Wicked, Communion, Awakenings, and Of Sins and Shadows.

I think the admission was well worth it. QR put on a great show. And even though I've seen all of the above songs many times (except Awakenings, which I think I've only seen 3 or 4), they are still great live.

I honestly don't think it's fair to hold SX up to the same standards as Dream Theater when they are just the opening band out on a two week tour. It's better for them to play songs that are well-rehearsed and that are likely to go over well with an audience that has never heard them before. Maybe that doesn't make it any more worthwhile for you to spend the $ to see them, but I think they're doing the right thing.

Just to put in my 2cents too..........

Well I went to 3 shows and all were FOR SYMX!!! And it was worth every peny for me and my husband.. We do like QR ok too, but if SymX wasn't w/them we would have not went.
SymX rock on all 3 shows and just to see the guys in action again, was just breathtaking..:worship: .. Yes it would of been cooler if they were able to play MORE songs but hey, they were not in charge of that...(darn it)..
But all in all,, I am VERY HAPPY, to have been there for them....

Only 5 songs? It's amazing that Detroit got a reduced setlist yet again. haha... make the tally on that 3 times now

Well they only dropped one song. They played the same 5 songs in Columbus. Not sure what happened in Columbus, but in Detroit they started late. I got to talk to Jason Rullo and he said QR was very nice and let them go on a half hour later because no one was there when they were supposed to go on. I suspect QR also dropped a couple songs, because their encore was only 2 songs, and both nights in Chicago they played more than that.
