lady of the snow has a certain coldy mood but candlelight is less cold and more nightly if u know what i mean
candlelight fantasia is better for me

Lady Of The Snow by ALL means (i think im about the only SX fan alive who cannot stand Candlelight Fantasia..its ma 2nd least favorite SX song Masquerade being the winner)

I can't stand candlelight fantasia either... and shades of grey is PAINFUL with Rod on vox... it might be better with russ, but the lyrics are pretty bad as well... ugh. I would say C&tO

C&tO is definetly my favorite, although I still love 'Candlelight Fantasia' and 'Lady of the Snow'. However, if I could make count that intro from 'Awakenings' I would say it's my favorite one

Hmmm...I had to look 'ballad' up in the dictionary because I don't really consider any of those songs to be ballads. Good ol' Webster says this:
ballad:
1. a sentimental song with the same melody for each stanza
2.a narrative song or poem, usually anonymous, with simple words, short stanzas, and a refrain.
3. a slow, sentimental popular song.
Sentimental maybe. Simple and popular? I don't think so. Of course that doesn't mean those songs aren't beautiful. I think Communion and the Oracle, and Candlelight Fantasia are great songs. Lady of the Snow, I dont care for much.

I was reading the lyrics to the edge of forever last night and that sounded like it COULD be like a ballad of some sort. unless i was misinterpreting the words of course. is it or no?
