The fact is even if Sym X tours I want to see them on the Propower stage. It's the best venue and the best sound... Plus with some speciall considerations strings choirs it would RULE!!

OK i just now listened to the song "Frontiers" off of The Odyssey and this is EXCELLENT. Reminds me of a Heavy Metal KANSAS. I'm gonna have to get one of their albums for sure now. And i say YES to them playing PP8.

Right after I got into Sym X, I gave a cd of theirs to a friend of mine that is an old school Kansas fanboy. I told him to listen to this band and get back to me with his thoughts. He didn't even make it to the next day, calling me at home that night to make sure I had heard Kansas in their music.

OK, i really dig that one too. I downloaded a partial song at their site called Inferno (unoeash the fire) that sounds like a completley different band. Is Russell Allen the only lead singer in the band? Because on that song it sounds like a different singer all together, i prefer the vocals on "Frontiers" and "Communion and the oracle". I really dig the KANSAS vibe i get from some of these songs.

It's really great that you're diggin the SX. But just to let you know man, if you start touching on their earlier work, you sure as hell won't be in Kansas anymore. Not even close.

Hang in there with Inferno if you can. I also prefer his vocals on Communion. In fact the first time I heard the Odyssey I was a little turned off by his rougher singing, but it grew on me. Now I think it fits and enjoy it; he's a pretty diverse singer and I like what he does and the fact that he usually pulls it all off live as well. :)

How many of you that voted yes thought about the possiblity of SX doing a full U.S. tour early next year?

I thought about it, and it doesn't matter to me at all. I don't mind returning bands and I don't mind if the band tours the States. Symphony X is a great band and with a new album on the way; now would be a perfect time. I've seen them quite a few times, but I'd still be excited to see them back. They don't even have to do something special like bring an orchestra, but it would be nice if they could be convinced to change that set list up a bit.

They're in a great position not to tie themselves down to having to play certain "classics" at each show - people going to an SX show haven't heard singles on the radio and aren't expecting that they have to play x, y, and z.

If they come and play the new stuff, not one single person will complain at all afterwards. Trust me on this. :)

I vote yes. Always. This festival was partially built on the backs of SymphonyX. They deserve another go.

4 times at ProgPower. 3 times in Atlanta ProgPower. USA tour in same year? Me and my friends talk about it, and it is too much for us.

I saw SX headline at PP4. I saw them play in Cleveland at least 3 times (headlining twice). Bring 'em the fuck on! I know there's a great chance they'll be touring and running through my area again. I dont care! The more the better imo. Its great seeing them in the PPUSA setting, getting the full crowd they deserve and all that.

I would not mind seeing them do a three hour set next year on Thursday night...

A 3 hour set on thursyday??why the fuck not saturday? thay deserve to be the festival headliner.not the preparty,or the first night.... MOTHER FUCKIN' SATURDAY NIGHT!!!!!!!! Glenn bring these guys back.I have never seen them live. They deserve to headline the entire festival...who agree's? please let me know that I am not the only one!!!!!

I think they should headline if they return, but I really think the fact they've been here 3 times needs to be taken into account, although I've never seen them. People were pissed when Evergrey was announced for a 4th time, and although this poll indicates Symphony X would probably go over a lot better as a returning band than Evergrey did, I'm sure a lot of PP veterans are going to say "what? again?".

I love this band very much. They were the first Prog Metal band that I had gotten into. So they will always hold a special spot in my heart. So I hope they will as I think I may get to attend this year.

My brother(Eternity X bass player) got members of Symphony X to call me last year on the phone while he was hanging out with them. Great guys!
