I am honored to announce that the fantastic group Symphony X has confirmed to join us for Gigantour this summer in the US.

I am triple stoked, and I know you will be too. This is a great opportunity for both Megadeth and Symphony X fans to discover each other. AND they come highly recommended by Mike Portnoy and the Drover brothers.

I would like to personally thank the lads in Symphony X for pushing the recording of their new record back in order to support my dreamchild of Gigantour. I look forward to meeting Mike Romeo and his crew and treating them better than they have ever been treated on any tour they have done.





Glad the guys over at SyX did this, though I may not like their music, I think they deserve more exposure just for the sheer talent in that band.

edit: apparently my friend at the megadeth forums checked this and this is from an actual post by Dave Mustaine. So unless someone hacked his account and is just joking around, then this is legit.

Methinks Dave mustive made Romeo & Co. an offer they couldn't refuse (cough$$$$cough) but this is fucking awesome! Jeff Loomis and Michael Romeo in the same day!!

When Mustaine originally said that SyX wasn't going to be in it, he said they where still talking and SyX was still in consideration... so even though it was originally announced they where not doing it, somehow Mustaine knocked some sense into them...
