Here they are. 44.1/24 bits uncompressed. Firepod's preamps, no eq, no processing, aprox same placement.
Note that this snare sound is not exactly suitable for metal (eg: harmonics, high pitch).
It's a DW craviotto 14x5.5 snare drum.

For a while (due to budget) T.Bones's were my only mic's - I have a mb75, a mb85 beta and some condensors. I now have a real Shure sm57 but am still using the mb85 for a lot of rock vocals. I keep on meaning to do a comparison like this.
Listening to all those samples I found the Shure and the Gefell to sound best to my (untrained) ears, although the Gefell doesn't have the crack of the shure. The mb75 is definitely duller than the shure and the Octavia is duller than the Gefell.
