Taking your crap out of your overheads in Nuendo..

Im wanting to side chain from my snare to take the snare *id also like to do this for toms if I can get it working right* to get rid of the snare bleed in my overheads. Ive watched some vid's on youtube and had a search about but most of it is about kick and snare and my brain can't seem to translate it into what I want.

The easiest and quickest solution's possible are very much welcomed. I don't have the "comprende" plugin everybody seems to use in their vids, I have the Waves C1-SC however so if anybody can guide me that would be cool.

Its just getting the key trigger right really, I keep compressing the overheads along with the snare rather than the snare triggering the compression.

put the compressor on the OH's...send the snare to it as the key input

then set the comp. so that the OH's compress a few db's whenever the snare hits

I think side chaining is ony possible in Version 4. I own Nuendo 3 and it doesn´t work without the compadre and even that is MUCH too complicated.
So go for Nuendo 4 if you really need side chaining.
