tc powercore element vs uad-1

Has anyone tried both of these? If so, which one do you think is better and why? Even if you've tried just one, feel free to talk about their goodies and badies.

Also, are there differences from an UAD-1 Project Pak to an Utra Pak the number of plugins and the price?

To your last question, the answer is yes : same card, different plugins.

I havent tried both, but the Powercore lacks good "colored" eq and compressors.

However, I have both the Element and the MKII, and I got them to run Sony Inflator and Transmod pluss the TC VSS3 reverb.

I would love to get an UAD to run the Fairchild and 1176 compressors, though, not to mention the Pultec EQ and the upcomming AMS-Neve 1073 EQs...

Yesterday I caught myself reading through the search results. I saw a post of Brett and Black Sugar and I think it was evident that I should go with a uad-1.
