hey!

i'm strating out this new song wich is probably gonna be a hell of a pain to mix since my project always end us complicated.

anyway,

I was wondering if you guys have any input on how to keep the guitar present and punchy without obscuring the rest of the sounds?

i guess EQing and volume automation would be key? but im a noob still learning to use my ears.

any constructive input would be appreciated!

yes EQ. but u should also EQ everything else :)
honestly it sounds really cool :)
just there is one keyboard sound that is really messy.
On the begining. notice how audible and great the guitars sound when its not there.
what kinda amp did u use?
U have a section on which the rythm guitars play different parts, though musically its cool, soundwise its messy.
I would stick with the rhytm doing the same part on both sides. and add other parts as leads.. experiment, if im wrong - and u do have a lead guitar in there, make it to sound different from the rhytm.
goodluck

thanx for your input!

iused an axe-fx 2, bass is my 7 strings guitar downpitched in my axe fx also,

ill try to make the synth less obstrusive eq wise to let the guitar shine, but i dont want the guitar to crush everything... im a basement guy, so still lots of noobling to be done :D

thanx bro!
