is there such a thing? trance mixed with riffs. hmmm. I think I saw on the metal observer a techno/metal review

Haha! It seems any genre these days can be mixed with metal. Whats next???

Regardless of your excessive !!!oneni1!Shift!!1!11one!1 marks, I could see it happening.

Since trance was brought up anyways, all hail the best trance album ever!

Not really a fan of this genre, but Ahumado Granujo have some bullshit techno tracks; frankly, I shouldn't have even menioned them....

Amorphis had a very techno-ish sounding section in one of their songs for Elegy, and the same with Windir on one of their songs for Arntor...

windir - journey to the end's techno-ish-ness ending is awesome. black new age has a touch as well.

the beginning of vreid's - Hengebjørki sounds a little techno to me.

sounds good to me.

I'm actually in a band with a friend of mine, and it's techno/electronica, and I play metal riffs, though the music itself doesn't sound like metal because of the techno element and extremely non-metal vocals.'

For metal mixed with techno, Aborym, Dub Buk, 3, Sombre Chemin, etc. have all experemented before with something along those lines, though none have done it consistently. There are tons of "dark ambient" projects by members of black metal bands, and this sound is at times incorporated in black metal CDs.

Preschool Tea Party Massacre-"Cyber Grind"

Trance/Techno/Dance grindcore kind of stuff. Completely awful for the most part, but Pope Mobile Drive By is a good song.
