Techno metal

Cybergrind is awesome.

Dol Ammad are a "progressive metal" band who are actually just like heavy electronica with a string section and metal riffs.

The ...And Oceans album A.M.G.O.D. had some elements of techno/trance on it. Not sure about other albums.

Avulsed also fused techno with death metal on one of their releases I think.

...and Oceans' A.M.G.O.D. and Cypher are both techno/electronica-influenced metal, and both are pretty good. The band's early stuff is symphonic black, though, and it's way better.

And yes Avulsed did play around with electronic stuff on their album Cybergore, which is pretty embarassingly bad.

Wasn't The Kovenant techno-metal?

For the most part no. SETI was more an industrial metal album than anything, Animatronic might fit the bill and the remix of In Times Before the Light could be called techno black metal but it's really just the original drowned in electronics.

Also Dodheimsgard's 666 International could also be labelled as techno black metal I suppose.

Drumcorps - Grist mikes grind with drum n bass among other things from what I've read and the samples I've heard. Plus, funny song names like "Pig Destroyer Destroyer"

KONG !!

albums: EarMined, Freak Control

EarMined especially fits what you specified imo... give it a try, it's really good!
Be warned though, it's purely instrumental ;)
