I am reading through all new football threads on UM and I must say I was appalled by your attack on the proud Swedish football history!
Sweden may suck right now, but we have one gold (1948 Olympics counts as World Cup since there were no regular World Cups in the 1940's, and the pros were allowed), one silver (1958), and two bronze medals (1950 and 1994). Not as many international medals as Uruguay, but that's three more medals than England has, for example. We also have many classic players in our history.

scandinavian teams? you're not into football, right? the only scandinavian country in the world cup is denmark and they just lost, scandinavian football is just not that good, there is not a real competition here at all! saw a few matches of the swedish league already and is kinda hilarious, can't understand the hype swedes have with their team really, with this kind of football you'll never get to win something :s

What hype were you referring to then? There's surely no hype right now, so you must have referred to Sweden from another time, right? I consider myself uncorrected, and I also expect backup from other butthurt Swedes on this.

well, have talked with lots of people that can't believe sweden didn't make it to the world cup, like WOW, how can that be?! many guys I've met think that because you have slatan you are as talented as germany, just because of one player? and my answer was always the same, "you're just not that good", sure, you have won some stuff in the past, so what? many countries have won lots of stuff, what's the big deal? also, why you don't use more inmigrants in yer team? I saw many players from the B league that are really good but it seems swedes don't want them into their national team, too bad, you could have like 5 more slatan, like that brasilian guy that played in the A league in italy after being rejected here in sweden, wtf?! don't feel attacked btw, here we don't take anything seriously, seriously!

We have Daniel Majstorovic and Berhang Safari in our team now for example, together with Zlatan that's 3 out of 11, not a bad number I'd say. If there's other immigrants that are playing good in Sweden, well, I guess they're simply not as good as the Swedes that are playing in foreign leagues, so they don't make the team. I don't think there's any diabolical selective scheme behind it.

3 players is nothing man! most of the teams in the world cup have an A and a B teams! and I'm talking about good players, not random players, well-know names!

Well apart from Zlatan we only have those random players to choose from anyway, be they ethnic Swedes or immigrant Swedes.

I guess the bottom line is that we suck.

Brazil - North Korea 3-0 (Brazil will play at 75% power and win the match comfortably without impressing anyone)
Portugal - Ivory Coast 2-1 (Lack of a fully fit Drogba will unfortunately lose them this game that they could've won otherwise)

yeah, easy game for brasil, 3-0, maybe 4-0! portugal vs ivory coast will maybe end up in a draw or a difficult victory for the portuguese team
