I'd go to see Scott Loose of Brave alone! The rest is just a bonus!
By the way, I read today that Jim over at LotFP had While Heaven Wept in his top ten albums of 2003. That promo has gone from Erik to Chief B, and I'm waiting to read the review now since I keep hearing *really* cool things about Of Empires Forlorn.

I've never heard While Heaven Wept... but I do quite like Brave. Saw Brave open for Symphony X and Devin Townsend a couple months ago... and they blew me away. I'll have to check out While Heaven Wept.

Tell me something about Brave.

Actually we have a thread right here where they came in and told us off for being naughty.
yes... certain bands seem to get uber-sensitive 'round these parts, dont they? :tickled:

anyways... http://www.bravemusic.com

Brave is MUCH better live than on record... partially because they just added a violinist... who really adds a lot to their sound. I can't wait to hear him on future Brave recordings. But Brave plays a brand of lush rock that is sort of a mix of pop/metal/prog. The prog and metal leanings are very slight... but there's substance to this band that you won't find in your average pop-rock band. The highlight of the band is the great female vocalist, Michelle Loose. She has a great voice that you don't hear in metal or metal-related genres. Basically, they have a real accessible sound... but with enough twists to keep it interesting.
