i keep seeing anaal nathrakh mentioned in these lists, so i finally checked out their myspace. what is this, fear factory? thumbs down. way.

:OMG:

At least check out 'Pandemonic Hyperblast' from The Codex Necro. Or 'When Fire Rains Down From The Sky, Mankind Shall Reap As It Has Sown' from the EP of the same name. Or... actually, which fucking track did you hear? Fear Factory? What?

like i said, the stuff on their myspace, off the new one...sounded pretty uninspired to me, i'll listen again...

k that pandemonic hyperblast track is up on their myspace but meh, the riffs don't grab me at all and that super-precise drum sound i don't really love. i like super-distorted grindy chaotic shit like insect warfare but somehow this lacks something. and the tracks off the new album sound like a totally different band. still not interested yet...convince me they're worth my time

I like Anaal Nathrakh also. If you don't like em, fine. Not gonna convince you.

They own the "where are they now/hits of the nineties" shows nowadays. They probably rake in even more dough now than they did in 1994 or whenever

Great list. I kept saying "Fas #1" over and over again this year, and most thought I was nuts.

Well, most probably still think I'm nuts, but at least a few people from out in the ???-land agree(d)* with me. I didn't even know Prong still made records, cool.

*I have recently changed my mind, but only barely.

ehh I like those Anaal Nathrakh songs, the clean vocals part make me think of Borknagar, and the music is pretty intense.
