Test- I'm a noob

Hi,

I'm really a noob in mixing, I compose a lot then I try to mix my songs but it always end sounding like crap.

Here is a short riff I just recorded. Could you tell me what is wrong with it? What are my main errors? It could help me as a starting point.

Guitars are Amplitube metal, with original cabs, no impulses.

Drums are dfhs 2.0

Bass is guitar pitch shifted with ampeg svx.

Kick drum sounds wierd, like its triggering the snares or is clipping or something. Other drums sound good. Guitars are really dull.
