whats wrong with chucks vocals? he is probably the greatest thrash singer ever

Vocalist maybe, singer doubtfully. And since FOD he growls more than vocalize.

But to each its own.

since Formation of Damnation? he has been growling a lot since LOW but his voice has held up. he has switched styles many times and i saw them live a few years ago and he was powerful. hetfield's voice is gone, belladonna sounds like a band journey singer, mustaine was never a good singer, araya just yelled into a mic from day 1, eric ak is probably the 2nd best thrash singer, paul baloff never sounded good, zetro sounded like bon scott. the difference is most of those guys have used 1 style their entire career. the fact chuck billy could scream, growl and sing clean puts him head and shoulders above the rest of the thrash singers

Yes but not in each and every song. The roars in 'Low' actually are what give the song such a thunderous power (may favorite ever), but songs like 'Trail Of Tears', 'Hail Mary', 'Dog Faced Gods', 'True Believer', 'D.N.R' are full of good cleans vocals. Not need for me to gargle from the bottom of a sewer.
