Thank goodness for Profound Lore

I pretty much listen to Agalloch on a daily basis while I'm working. Great band! Metalsped turned me onto them about a year or so ago.

Have you listened to the band Sculptured yet? Don Anderson's the leader (and features overlap with the Agalloch lineup).

Three albums, plus a KILLER cover of Goblin's theme from Dario Argento's Suspiria.

How do you stay awake? I think that Agalloch does some great stuff, but dear lord it makes me sleepy.

...I don't know. I just like the whole atmosphere of their music.

I have not, but I'll check it out. Thanks!

With that said, I've checked out Dawnbringer, Stargazer, Ludicra, and Atlantean Kodex. Stargazer and Ludicra aren't my thing at all. Dawnbringer sounds interesting, but I REALLY like what I'm hearing out of Atlantean Kodex!

FYI...new Kylesa is actually on Season of Mist.

Profound Lore rules. That Dawnbringer is one of the best of the year, and Gates of Slumber are one of the best metal to come out of the midwest. Love the label, love the metal! Don't give a crap about the hipster tag because it's B.S. What band on that label can you actually tag as hipster? Not a one.

I made a pretty nice order from Profound Lore. It just came in the mail today!

Agalloch - Marrow of the Spirit
Alcest - Souvenirs d'un Autre Monde
Krallice - Dimensional Bleedthrough
Manilla Road - After Midnight Live
Portal - Outre
Slough Feg - The Animal Spirits

Couldn't be more excited!

not really a huge fan of Profound Lore, it seems to have the affect of a small band on a small label making a great debut disc and then getting picked up now by them or Cruz Del Sur apparently, and then making a mediocre album. Gotta listen to the Slough Feg though
