As most of you know, it is time for my month-long exile from music. I will still be around to address any major issues or concerns, but you will not see me participating in discussions on a daily basis nor answering email in a timely manner. First, a few thanks...

*There are no words that can express the gratitude I have for my wife. She has taken things to the next level with all of her hard work and dedication to the social media aspect. In fact, we probably would not be going still today if not for her. She is my world.

*Thanks to my teenage daughter, Haley, for making your old man proud. She came to the festival to “hang with the weirdos” for the first time ever & to see what dad actually does. I had no idea how she would react since she hates metal (“you can’t understand them”). However, watching her throw her fist in the air in front of the barrier during Sabaton (“I don’t know what I’m doing”) got me a bit misty-eyed.

*We never ran more than 10 minutes behind this year. That is a testament to how well Wayne Petroskey has the stage crew running. Wayne works hard well in advance of the show and the results showed in spades. My hat is off to him, Shane, Don, Mike H, Rick, Rob, Jay-Dub, Veal (aka Harris), Wahoo, and Mike C. You guys work your ass off and are the real heroes behind the show.

*Thank you to the backstage/shuttle crew: My brother Tommy, Taylor, and Lara/Julien. If the world only knew how much shit you put up with.

*The lobby & vendor crew may be the most visible, yet most under-appreciated bunch of the crew. Those signing sessions don’t run themselves and are a crucial element to the festival. Thank you to Keith, Hoyt, & Jim.

*Thanks to our staff photographers: Esa, Allen, & Stephen. They took their game to another universe this year as evidenced by the real time updates and quick turn around after the festival. I am in awe of the job you did this year. No other festival in the world does what you do.

*Double thanks to Hoyt & Rob for pulling off the Wolverine acoustic show. I didn’t have to worry a moment about it thanks to you guys.

*The Gold Badge crew is a machine. They are invaluable to us and remain dear friends. Thanks to Doug, Dawn, Dee, Kerri, Su, Sis, and Tracie.

*Thanks to Marc “the visa guy” Gessford for getting the bands into the country. Your job may suck ass, but know that it all starts with you, my friend.

*Thanks to Wayne Joyner for the continued outstanding work on the video presentations and graphics. You truly help separate the festival from the rest of the world.

*Thanks to Claus, Tess, & Annie for the work on the website, programs, samplers, and production assistance. You guys worked your ass off.

*Thanks to Matt V for taking some of the burden off Jen year around with the Facebook assist. I appreciate it just as much as Jen does.

*Johanne in catering: The *best* in the business.

*I’d like to welcome Nathan to the big leagues on Thursday night. He did an outstanding job for his first time up to plate.

*Thanks as always to the Center Stage staff. Kent, Dylan, Lindsay & Such (sound intern) are part of the stage crew family. It’s a huge compliment to them when everyone tells you that they hope the bands don’t bring their own soundman. I’d like to thank Cliff (venue lobby manager) for being super cool and working his ass off to smooth out the rough edges along the way as well. A big shout out to Garrett at the bar, Nikki in the box office, Michelle and the other Niki (who neither could sadly be there), Whitney & all the bartenders, Jerry & the entire security staff, and anyone else I forgot. My staff and the attendees truly appreciate what you do to make Center Stage our home for four days.

*Thank you to Kinematic Music & Mindcage for the featured sponsorship. I wish them both nothing but the best and a prosperous future in the business.

*Thank you to Peavey for jumping on board with sponsorship this year. The amps sounded great on stage!

*Thanks to the sponsors this year for the smoothest backstage experience I have had in 14 years. You guys were just simply awesome this year and you have my loyalty in return.

*Thanks to the Artmore for the excellent customer service for myself & the bands. I also appreciate just how classy you dealt with the parties this year.

*Cheers to all the vendors this year. I hope you made bank.

*And to the best attendees in the world, you make all the work worth it.

Thank you all and goodnight.

See you in 2014.

Glenn

I heard (and stated myself) more than once through the weekend that "this is/was the smoothest ProgPower USA to date"

and that goes from load-in to load-out, every performance, every autograph session (we didn't have to cut a single line), the ticket lines, the after parties, the vendor room... everything. Proud to be a cog in the wheel.

Sabaton said it best: "PRIMO VICTORIA!!!" :headbang:

outside of the crew, Thank you Glenn & Jen for making this fan boy happy by bringing WOLF here. That was just as amazing to me as Therion or Sanctuary.

Thank you!

Thanks again Glenn to you and Jen for your tireless hours of hard work. This festival is one that brings some of our family and friends together for an awesome weekend when otherwise we might not see each other. We had a fabulous time as always and cannot begin to tell you how much we appreciate you and everyone else involved in making ProgPower the best festival ever!! Thank you!!

Huge cheers to everyone who made PP possible.

Now Glenn, go get some much deserved rest. If you're lucky, you'll get two weeks. enjoy it!

Thank you for another FANTASTIC year. I cannot express in words what this festival means to me, and that's after only 2 years of attendance! The amount of hard work put into this is unfathomable, and results are utterly spectacular. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU everyone involved!!

This year's festival was my first and among a lifetime highlight, even more so with the particular bands who attended. There are too many thanks to list them all.

Glenn, this was my 11th PP. Each year the festival gets better. I appreciate everything you do for the Festival to bring the bands in and to make it happen. Jen-You have truly made a difference for Glenn and how things get communicated and run behind the scenes. I don;t think you get enough credit and thanks from us. But Glenn seems much more relaxed and able to concentrate on what he really needs to instead of EVERYTHING like he used to do thanks you all you do.
Thanks to the stage crew for keeping everything on schedule...damn y'all were on fire this year. GREAT JOB!!!
Lastly, thanks to my usual PP Crew that was all able to get together this year: Donna (My wife, her 10th PP), Lauren & Catherine (awesome step-daughters), Brian (he got me to come originally), Cindy, Jason (Luv ya big guy), Pat, Big Ben and the twin;s friend Peter! Looking forward to seeing everyone next year.

GlennJen, go take another Disney cruise. Y'all deserve it. :)

(Just don't expect to find a casino on board. )

This. Is. Perfect.

Thank you for a great show (all of you who were involved behind the scenes). As others have said, this as the smoothest running show I've ever seen. I know a lot of very hard work went into the show, and it really shows.

You all deserve a rest. Everyone take care and see you all next year!

Thanks to all and especially Glenn for bringing bands to the States I would've never seen otherwise (whether I like all or not). I think I can speak on behalf of everyone for that and don't think it can EVER be overstated how important that is to the success of the fest. Cheers!

Cheers to the crew, sponsors and Ambr for the excellent forum poster, rock!!!

I agree that this year's fest seemed to go more smoothly than any previous one. I've come to expect nothing but greatness from this organization over the past thirteen years, and I'm never disappointed. To Glenn, Jen, both Waynes, Nathan, Marc, Claus, Hoyt, and the crew (even my favorite Pain Of Salvation fan, J-Dubya!), I say thank you for a job well done.

Stay metal. Never rust,
Albert

I've only been to three other progpowers (IX, X and XII), not saying those weren't smooth shows but I think this year takes the cake in terms of how smooth the fest went. Like I said in another thread, I also found it to be the most enjoyable.
