not QUITE! it's so fucking good though...I mean it has all the flaws of any stephen king book but yes...solid action adventure, just what the series needed!

yeah, and by the end sequence, you're totally in the groove of the book, and anxious, and can't wait to see what happens next, and there are satisfyingly unexpected deaths and twists...it rules. not as philosophical/dream-like as the earlier books, i guess, but still good.

gwahaha! when i saw the title of this thread all i could think was "blind robot!"

all the pictures in the book suck except for the one of andy getting shot to shit.

i actually committed a no-no and flipped throug the colour plates when i first bought the book, just to see the art. somehow, luckily, i completely missed the existence of the Andy-plate and was thus taken by surprise when eddie went all oedipus on him.

p.s. if you tried to run this book as a roleplaying game module, the player characters would DEFINITELY have blown Andy to pieces the first time he refused to tell them something due to his programming.
