aaanyway... i fucking love Leviathan. a chick in my art class that i knew from high school loves loves loves mastodon and i'm going with her to see them at the 9:30 club in dc in may. she's gonna burn me Blood Mountain and Crack the Skye. and she also is vaguely familiar with gojira so i'm gonna let her borrow The Link.

This new album is everything that is awesome. I'll admit, I dislike Mastodon and their 'sludgey' stuff I have heard but this is something else. It is like a mix of Pink Floyd, Devin Townsend, with heavy prog influences. I like the vocals too, reminds me a little of Staley or Black Label Society. My favourite track is definitely ''The Last Baron".

I'll pay more attention to this band in the future
