Yeah, I agree. It wasn't an easy decision to not go, but one that had to happen. We were going to spend 8 days in Finland, then 7 days in Sweden, then another 3 days in Finland, with separate 2-day trips to Denmark & Russia. Would've been nice, but just ain't happenin'.

Yeah I noticed that too - it may not have been on the spitfire site though. I'll wait for the Dark One to chime in here because he seemed to be in the know...

Oh yeah, since I missed this before, and since this thread got bumped up I'll reply here. Um, yeah, like Testament will like totally be there 'n stuff. :loco:

Who do you think is going to be the biggest surprise of Wacken?

I actually think Twisted Tower Dire have a good shot at winning some fans over a la Wolf perhaps at the recent BW&BK fest?

Them and Ancient Rites. Not enough people know about Ancient Rites.

Dew Scented, Dew Scented, Dew Scented baby! Oh wait, that shitty 11:00am first band to play slot will probably hinder them heavily, D'OH!!!

Ok then, well, in that case I'll have to say Thyrfing. Their brand of Viking Metal will be quite unique at the festival, and it is a style that Thyrfing plays extremely well. The combination of those two elements I believe will lead to Thyrfing's performance being one of the most memorable at the festival.

Um, we got kind of good news this morning.

A little something called 5 backstage passes, and a photopass? How's that for a nice way to begin your day?! :headbang:

I voted for Vader (yeah yeah, better late than never :p ), because they have been completely owning me left and right lately.

I'm definitely jealous of ya'll, I've been meaning to make a European vacation sometime soon, maybe I'll go next summer to catch Wacken 2004. :headbang:

You know, it's not too late to get into Wacken 2003. I'm totally serious bro!

If there was a smiley for broke-ass, I would put it here. You know I would love to go with ya'll but I don't have the cash right now, especially after buying that bass last weekend.

I should have stomached living with roommates for a few more months, but nooooo, I wanted to triple my rent!

No, no, next summer is Bloodstock UK! :D

I have a friend getting married in London on August 23, so I figure I might as well go and just stay through the festival!
