Yeah, in the christian belief 7 is the number of god and because of that there are that many sevens in the western world. In fairy tales there the 7 appears quite often as for example in "the 7 ravens" or in "the 7 dwarfs" or "seven-league boots".

Okay, technically theres ∞ (infinite) colors in the rainbow because the thing is a gradient (i.e. there are no "dividing lines" between colors, but rather the rainbow is a gradient that goes from red to violet).

Now, what they teach you at school... indeed, the seventh (well, sixth, since the seventh color would be violet) color is indigo.

And yes, there are three primary colors and three secondary colors, but have you considered that everything in between also exists? And you're forgetting about white/black.
