"The Arsenal of Megadeth"

Looks pretty rad, but the chances of me buying it are near zero. Unless it's Monty Python or the Simpsons, I watch DVDs maybe once. And that includes all the rad King Crimson DVDs I have.

haha

I'd rather watch badass music videos like "Hangar 18" (haha, all the Jim Henson aliens) and "Go to Hell" (seeing this video in 1997 was what initially got me interested in Megadeth).

dont' forget futurama and family guy :p... family guy SEASONS, not the family guy movie. and billand ted.

me asleep and farting > Family Guy

That show is totally not funny 85% of the time. The 15% is good, but it's like pickin' peanuts out of poop.

Hmm, I guess Freud was right.

Maybe for someone who actually witnessed this era...

Right. I've seen all that stuff already, but I can see where die-hards might want it on DVD.

The video to Go to Hell is cool -- I love the way how they split the screen into three rows, one for each guitar neck (Mustaine, Friedman, and Ellefson).

I just watched the Rude Awakening DVD the other day. THAT is cool (except why they've channeled the vocals to the left speaker only is beyond me). Anyway, Al Pitrelli pretty much nails every Friedman solo note for note (and then later it's explained that Friedman coached him before he left, which was cool of him).

i saw the hangar 18 video last night on vh1 ...and it just hit me how much of a genious that song is ... pretty much and instrumental

the only thing that bothers me is how Dave Mustaine sings so frickin high pitched on that DVD. It's odd, especially compared to some earlier bootlegs I've heard.

Also, note how "Almost Honest" is listed on the DVD set list...but they don't play it! :tickled:

Still what a fucken set list man: Devil's Island, HOOK IN FUCKEN MOUTH (it slays), Ashes in your Mouth, Kill the King, and all their big 'uns.

Pitrelli nailed the solo in "Tornado of Souls". I forever take my hat off to him for that.

By the way, did anyone catch Megadeth with the Eidonlon brothers playing in the band? Just wondering how the guitarist coped with the Friedman stuff.

Cannot wait for the new album, provided Mustaine lets the Drover brothers contribute and set his ass on fire.
