Look at John Wayne Gacy's obsession with clowns and the seven dwarves. Kinda creepy. Now I know where the artwork for this came from...

Yep, that clown is highly freaky, you see that one everywhere.

Thumbing through the new Playboy last night (the articles even :loco: ) and came across a guy that collected serial killer art, he had a bunch of Gacy stuff.

You can buy action figures now of serial killers such as Ed Gein or Richard Ramirez. There's something going drastically wrong in society when you make heroes out of these people, and let your kids play with the figures as toys.

That collector in Playboy has the original of that Gacy work. He also sent Gacy a picture of his 2 year old son, and received portraits in return. That's just fucked up, "here ya go Mr. Gacy, hope you enjoy jerkin' off to a picture of my 2 year old son."

Yeah, probably the same parents that watch "reality television".
I'd say taking your two year old to midnight showings of R-rated movies is probably a lot more damaging. That seems to happen quite a lot in this country, so I'm not really sure why films are even given ratings in the first place.

True. I remember the +18 movies would not let me into them when I was 16, but I've seen young children (babies even), getting into those horror/violence flicks when they have parental guidance or their parent with them.

In the UK, if a film is certificate 18, it means nobody can get in under the age of 18. It doesn't matter who you're with, it just 'aint happening. In the US, you can take a 5 year old in to the cinema with you as long as you're old enough. Shocking.

Wrose still, fucking teenagers in malls sneaking into the multiplex theaters, proceeding to talk on their cellphones throughout the entire movie. Mallrats must die.

The UK is more sane then; it's the same here is in the US. Although here in the boonies, the parents would leave their kids outside to see the R-movies (like they abandon the kids to visit casinos).

I hate it when people talk on their cells. I paid money to see the movie and I should enjoy it in peace. :(

Yes, but which happens more often. It's nigh impossible to get away from "reality TV", the majority of which relish in human failure, embarrasement, laughter at that embarrasment, sex, vulgarity, etc.

And kids find this funny? Woe is the future....:ill:

Agreed. It's disgusting. Yes, I watch Survivor, but that's where I draw the line. Most of it is just watching people battle against the elements, and stab others in the back.

However, some of the trashiest TV I have ever seen is in the form of reality shows such as, "Who wants to marry a Millionairre", and the absolute worst, "Extreme Makeover" where they have people go through severe plastic surgery.

Fuck, it really seems like I'm on a bashing run against the US, but fuck, it's all gross. If the US society could just learn to draw the line somewhere, the country would be a much better place to live in. It's the consitutional rights running rampant.

not to mention a lot of reality shows praise a person's image above all else. If you ain't pretty, you ain't shit is the message their giving.

I mean hell, Joe Millionaire is basically telling kids, "hey, marry rich, and you'll learn to love the guy/girl"

What's that new marriage reality show, with the midget? Oh my, how I love thee Fox. "Draw the line!? What the fuck does that mean!?"

NC-17 means you can't go watch the movie if you are under 17, period. That's a death sentence for US films though, directors fight that rating because they know their film will certainly flop. Fucking weak.

You won't believe how many marriages are based on this principle...that's essentially how an arranged wedding in the East works.

Western Canada. In the ugly city of Edmonton.

Well, sometimes they work out. Money is an important factor in relationships.

Apu and Manjula are doing fine. Except he had to go and cheat on her with the squishy lady... for shame!

I've never been able to understand the glorification of serial killers. I am just astounded that people would buy dolls and Charles Manson T-shirts. It is incredulous that Manson's harem, who murdered Roman Polanski's wife and unborn child in a brutal manner, is actually allowed to live. Sickening.

I've never been able to figure out why people would sit in the theatre and talk on the phone at the same time. You politely ask them to be quiet and what do they do? They carry on talking but loudly, as if I am bugging them. !! I don't want to stereotype here, but everytime I'm in the US, it always seem to be them coloured folks armed with their chicken wings.

I've told people to be quiet and they keep on talking more loudly as well.

Here it's usually the trash people who talk on their cells or to each other in the theatre. No stereotyping intended here either.

Us people of colour are usually quiet in the movie theatres. :p
