my 5$ headphones broke 2 seconds in to the first song but this sounds pretty rad even listening with one ear.
artwork + name is 5/5

this is one of the best things ive heard in 2011, or rather, in forever

Just listened to "Coffin Varnish" and :yow:. Maybe I will buy a metal album this year after all....

Here's a writeup that links to an interview

Let's play "spot the hipster"

If you grew up living in a swamp wearing a Black Sabbath T-Shirt and ate nothing but fried chicken, this is your band.

"Hails to The Atlas Moth! This is slap your mama up against the wall and eat your biscuits and red-eye gravy swampin' sludge! A band to look out for, and for sure lock up your daughters!" - The Sludge Swamp

wow either i'm fucking deaf or these guys changed a LOT from the first album (which i have not heard) to this second one

all said and done ... i give these guys 1 more release until they fade into obscurity.

i don't know when you became MORE cynical than i

this is really good music, fuck you

all said and done ... i give these guys 1 more release until they fade into obscurity.

also, who cares

i listen to so many great bands that either only released one or two things, or who only released one or two GREAT things

releasing like 5 classic albums in a row a la maiden or bathory takes absolutely extraordinary circumstances

that is fucking terrible..really. wtf

I've listened to their first release half a dozen times, and have come to the conclusion that the last several tracks are strong as hell, with the first half being a meandering pittter patter of core-ish beard stroking. Therefore, this will remain on a warehouse shelf, and I in turn will have $10 more in my bank account. Will check out their sophomoric output next. Need to follow a proper sequence fellas!

In regards to the first recording this is hands down the stand out track of the album. I really wish the entire album fell in line with this track. Less bore core, more clean vox atmospheric goodness por favor. First half = Tabasco, this track = Sriracha. No arguments!
