Anyone got these albums? opinions? what style of music is it? I mean i know its heavy stuff, but is it like SX stuff, or more alone the lines of (insert artist here)?

whatcha think?

Jorn Lande kicks butt along with Russell Allen. It's not the most exciting music in the world, but it might be the best singing you'll ever hear...or at least imo it is. It's straight forward power metal style music, not very complicated most of the time...but very very catchy choruses and vocal sections.

I really like this project and have since I heard about it. Hope that helps.

cool, i guess i'll grab em up then. I buy just about everything else anyway, don't see why I would by these!

Yep, it's more laid back/melodic than SX but it's great stuff - 2 awesome singers giving it the full works, and the guitarist ain't too shabby either - get it, mate, you won't be disappointed!! :kickass:

The Battle is better than The Revenge.....but both are better than a kick in the cods.
I recommend buying The Revenge first...that way you won't be as dissapointed with it.

The Battle is great, though sometimes I do happen to roffle at the lyrics  I haven't yet heard The Revenge but I would definately recommend getting Battle.

I like the grooves and all, it's heavy and cool.

But what bothers me is Russell Allen's repetitive vocal phrases. Very predictable.

I can't say I really enjoy any of those two albums. Jorn Lande has had far better moments like in Ark and Beyond Twilight. I've never enjoyed any of his 'solo' stuff. Allen on the other hand shows nothing interesting compared to his work with Symphony X.
Wouldn't really recommend these unless you are a really die-hard cheesy power metal fan.

The Battle is an awesome heavy metal album. Every song is great, the vocals are incredible, the solo's are great and the lyrics fit the music. The Revenge is more of the same thing but personally I think The Battle has more songs that stick in your mind.
