The Beatles?

its not the kinda thing i listen to but you gotta respect what they did for music. basically no beatles means no black sabbath an that means we'd be without a hell of a lot metal bands

There'd be no metal without Sabbath, PERIOD.
While I appreciate the Beatles for what they've done to music, they're not my top ten list of favorite bands in the whole world.

love the beatles however my dad was more into the kinks and pink floyd so i didnt get into the beatles until i started buying my own records, im glad i did now.

what about the Jeff Lynne era when he replaced lennon? ive seen footage of him and paul playing mr bluesky on later with jools from the 90s its amazing to watch.

and also what about wings?

never been a beatles fan, i respect their impact on music and everything but when it comes down to it i just don't dig their tunes

I'm going to use this opportunity for Coroner bummage, so Matt - your opinions on this cover?

I thought it was very good. Not as good as the original (and coming from me, thats saying something) but a brilliant adaptation if you ask me.

ooooh yeah mutant tom played me that last year, its alright isnt it! i dont think there are many ways to make a pop song into a metal song and do it amazingly, but thats pretty impressive..

i prefer it when bands cover something you wouldnt expect them to cover.

Aye I love it when you get bands covering stuff that you'd never expect. A majority of the time you expect a band to cover Exodus or something, then they'll come out with Queen or something equally nutty haha (and Coroner's Purple Haze cover is pretty badass too).

I think thats a good cover though, very well done and it hasn't just stuck with the original - its drastically changed, but not TOO drastic. Although I still prefer the original, for some odd reason.

A Day in the Life is one of my favorite songs of all time. The Beatles are great.
