The Best Thrash Drummers

Dave Lombardo is by far the best drummer out of all of these, though not my favorite
Sean Reinert
Gene Hoglan
John Tempesta is pretty good with Testament...
Richard Christy isn't a thrash drummer, awesome anyway...

my top 5 are -:

charlie benante
dave lombardo
vinnie paul ( suprised he is on no-ones list yet )
gene hoglan
nicko mc brain

all totatly awesome drummers in their own right :headbang: :headbang:

Ken Owens wasn't amazing. Good, maybe. A little flourish here and there, but nothing extremely complex or that made your eyes bulge out of your skull.

1. Charlie
2. Gary Lindsey
3. Gonzo (from the Muppets)
1. Yes. Charlie is #1
2. I didn't know Gary Lindsey played drums??
3. Do you mean 'Gonzo (from Armored Saint)' ...or.. 'Animal' (from the muppets)?

Why hasn't anyone mentioned Clive Burr or Gar Samuelsson yet? And Philthy Animal Taylor is my favorite drummer of all time.

Gene Hoglan (Dark Angel , Death , Testament, Strapping Young Lad) - THE BEST!
Dave Lombardo (Slayer , Testament , Grip Inc , Fantomas)
Igor Cavalera (Sepultura)
Charlie Benante (Anthrax , S.O.D.)
Tom Hunting (Exodus)

Just for the record Lombardo > Bostaph

Dude no way is Lars Ulrich a good drummer

Amen to that, while I love the metallica up to and including justice, lars never did anything to impress me at all

Fave drummers for me are

Dave Lombardo
Gene Hoglan
Nicko McBrain
Clive Burr
Nick Menza
Vinnie Paul
John Bonham
Phil Rudd
Philthy Animal

too many others and I am drunk as hell to think

Lars was never a good drummer, tell me a song where Lars shows off his "skill"?

Dyers Eve not included , he recorded 3 drum sessions and mixed them into the song , which is why its not on their set
