The Biebob gig!

Forlorn Hope

leave me alone
Allright this was the best concert ever. They even played The Silent Enigma :eek::eek:
I guess some of you are wondering for the playlist... I still remember which songs they played but not really in which order. This is kinda it...

Release
Pressure
Underworld
Forgotten Hopes
Destiny Is Dead
Looking Outside Inside
Leave No Trace
Angelica
Judgement
Panic
A Fine Day to Exit
Temporary Peace
Fragile Dreams
Inner Silence
One Last Goodbye
The Silent Enigma (piano version)
A Dying Wish
2000 & Gone (with lyrics)
-------------------------------
Sleepless
Comfortably Numb

I'm pretty sure that this is the right order. This gig was HEAVY! Even songs like Release were played heavy, but especially Judgement, Panic, Fragile Dreams, A Dying Wish and Sleepless were much heavier than the original ones, really great.
And I was so damn happy to hear Sleepless and A Dying Wish in one show!!! And I think they were kinda impressed by the audience, we were so enthousiastic that they played Comfortably Numb, which wasn't on their planned playlist at all.
Woah, I could say so much more but I think I'm gonna get some sleep, I feel sort of FLAT! (Heiko, your fault! :p:p) I was between the front of the stage and the pits, with Heiko right behind me, deadly.

Oh and a very big yahoo to Breaklose!!! It was brilliant, they even covered Antimatter's Over Your Shoulder!

Well, still not much oldies, 8 (!?!?!?!) songs from AFDTE, 1 from Eternity, no "Empty" (maybe Anathema's best song for gigs).....

Anyways, if the atmosphere was as good as you discribed it then it seems like it was a blast... I envy you guys...

Oh, are you sure they did not play Deep or Pitiless? They always play those two...

WE WANT GREEK DATES SOON!!!

Yes yes, it was a brilliant show! I enjoyed every second of it, it was just pure pleasure and phukin phun ;)

And just like Forlorn Hope already said, the breaklose set was also very nice. I already downloaded their demo, and i'm pretty sure that i'm gonna buy their cd if it comes out.

Forlorn Hope, Sorry for your bruises. Umm... IT WASN'T ME!
(hmm, on a second thought, I guess it was :p ) Sorry for all people who wanted to stand calmly in front of the stage. I couldn't help but starting a moshpit. And apparently some other people gladly joined in :D

Anyway, it was a great gig. Their best one I saw, I guess? This was the 8th time, and I can only remember of the ones at the Vooruit (Gent, with Therion and Moonspell) and on Huntenpop (2002) being of the same superb quality.

And Sleepless, AND A Dying Wish, AND Comfortably Numb... We have been spoiled, peeps ;)

Sol, they don't play 'Deep' and 'Pitiless'. And it's been quite some time since last time I saw them do those... And the fact that they didn't play 'Empty'... Well, just too bad? They played a lot of other great songs. It's been a while since last time I heard 'Angelica' live for instance.

Breaklose did an excellent gig! 3 guys on acoustic guitar, 2 mics. Just all they needed to give us a perfect set of great music. When are you going to record that album, Mehdi?

BTW, 'Over Your Shoulder' was a very nice surprise in that Breaklose set. And apparently a lot of people know the Antimatter album, cause there were A LOT of people singing that song with us, word by word.

okay this was a nice gig for certain... BUT I enjoy Anathema for their easy, mellow stuff... and as there were so many heavy songs... and since Heiko started moshing... ;)
Oh who sang along with Over your Shoulder??? Certainly not me! :D Breaklose is an excellent band! All yous should check them demo's out at the Breaklose website and see for yourself! And don't start thinking it's bad because of Mehdi's attitude here at the board....

Fuck me, this place was packed!

CU at sunday!!

Yessss!! This sure was a GREAT gig , probably the best one I ever saw . I enjoyed every minute of it . Most of my favorite songs were played , the atmosphere was incredible , great supportact.....
It was also very nice to meet some of you people from the forum Had to take courage ( little shy , you know) just to say hi to you guys and to Danny. Turned out great but I hope next time I 'll be less nervous....

@ forlorn hope : I'm sure your back must be all black and blue !btw I bought my first Opeth cd last nite . Think I'll like it

@ mehdi :you guys did excellent. I'llask a friend to download your demo (and save you all the trouble ) when your cd is out , be sure to let us know OK?!

Oh boy , just couldn't sleep last night , and now I have this terrible headache:(

see you

i slept wonderful. some breaklose member woke me up though with kinda weird noises

i liked the gig, i understand people like quiet doom gigs more, but this was just fine, didn't realize at all we were jumping there for 2 hours.

cheers for the ride mariner and sandra for offering. nice to see you all back there

Hey , Breaklose was grroarr ! :D
A really good set, hearing Breaklose live was a nice experience, and i was happy to be part of the 1st audience of their 1st show :)
But Damn too short , thanks to the wanker who has stop them
Too bad Mehdi didn't puked on stage as i was expecting , it would have been boss

Concerning the support act , this little band called anadema or something , well it was pretty nice ;)

yeah this was one of me favourite gigs ever...great crowd. the set list is pretty good but it'll be even better once this next album is done. we didnt do empty cos dunc will probably be doing a version with antimatter, and 2 bands with the same songs in the set...well it's maybe not the best thing. cheers for the paris antimatter bootleg mariner, i played it in the van last night and it was ace. the lads were well impressed.

It certainly was one hell of a night again with good friends all over the place. I was happy to see that Anathema played with all of their hearts. Thanks Danny, Les, Vinny, Jamie, John, Joe, Mike and the rest of the crew for giving us a great time, also
after the show.
Thanks Mariner, for the great music of the Antimatter gigs, I'm
glad everyone was impressed, Danny. This was one of the most complete gigs I saw of them (I lost the counting) and 'Comfortably numb' was the perfect fade out to heaven
after such a great set

I enjoyed Medhi's concert as well a lot, perfect harmonies and
compositions. Am I going nuts ? I thought they played 'Saviour'
as cover from 'the friends' and not Over your shoulder

Anyway, looking forward for the Tilburg gig tomorrow and see
you all again !!! Vera

Probably you're going nuts ;)

glad you and Danny are liking the boots, I guess I did allright with them (I didn't ruin them, but I've a feeling Paris could've been done better)

If people are interested in those bootlegs, I won't send them anymore by mail, because it costed me too much money. I hope you'll understand. And there are some people who knows I'll do it by mail just for them. You know who you are.
