The Complete Idiot's Guide To: Buying Guitars

Here's a couple guitars I found. Are these worth buying? For good quality recording and playing live..

And also I have a lame question. Does it matter if it is acoustic-electric? Would it sound bad if I used nylon strings on an acoustic-electric, or does the term just mean that it plugs in? Because I was really just hoping for a good sounding acoustic, preferably nylon (I don't like click sounds.)

IMG code is off so you'll have to click the links on them pictures.. :erk:

Steel-string acoustic necks are not made for nylon strings. Not only the difference in tension on the neck but also the size of nylon strings. If you want a nylon string sound, buy a nylon string guitar.

Also, in my opinion you have received some good advice in this thread; you might try looking into some of the guitars/trem systems that have been mentioned.

The term "acoustic-electric" means that the guitar has an electric pickup and generally can be plugged in, though this is not always true. You can find nylon string guitars made this way.

Here is one option.
