Since there are so many of them I thought it would be pretty usefull to make up a list with all kinds of analog, digital and software compressors and what their mostly used on. Maybe a small review and a comparison between analog and software (real ssl mixbus comp -> waves/duende for example).
That's basicly the idea. Problem is: I'm not experienced enough to make reviews you can rely on. So I'm asking you guys if you like that idea and may contribute your review to this thread.
I think we should have some kind of structure for the list/reviews so things don't get messy. Could be something like that
Compressor:
Manufacturer:
Type:
Get's used on:
Analog-Digital comparison:
[Pro's/Con's:]
and so on. maybe someone has a better idea. maybe someone would like to contribute some tutorials, too. basics, in depth...
