Why does it say "In the year of our lord 2004" on the back? Is it just some random thing they did as a joke for people that think the back is blank?

Not sure if its a joke or not but A.D. (as in 2004 A.D.) stands for "anno Domini" which is Latin for, In the Year of Our Lord.

Goddamn, Profondo Rosso is the italian name of the american titled film Deep Red, directed by Dario Argento. It's actually one of my favorite horror films.

My Deliverance shirt says "the year of our lord 2003" so i guess they started doing that on concert memorabilia since Nov '03. I also own that Profondo Rosso t-shirt. Rules. Don't get why would they put taht on an Opeth t-shirt, but it looks cool.

which shirt did you buy jayson? i got the one with the red opeth logo on the front and the band standing there. on the back it has the "O" in white and the tour dates in red. i dont recall seeing the one you got...

Profundo Rosso is indeed the name of an Italian killer flick. The reason its on the Opeth shirt however, is because a great 70s Italian progrock band, Goblin, did the entire soundtrack of teh film, and its music influenced Mikael greatly. In fact, when I played my dad some of Damnation he was like "This sounds like Goblin!" So there ya go.
