So the first real metal albums were probably My Dying Bride- Turn Loose The Swans, Anathema- Serenades and At The Gates- Terminal Spirit Disease (all on the same day).

errr dunno how metal they are considered to be but G'n'R Appetite... in '88 i think...'87? Don't know but i live in the ALMIGHTY BIBLE BELT *shiver* and Metal Music around here back then, i guess probably now as well *shrug* was/is considered an even more offensive word than FUCK, and we all know that it condones/encourages the youth to worship satan, commit sin and cause a step back in evolution! yeaaaa... uh huh

but the first album I bought was My Dying Bride's The Light at the End of the World when it came out.
