Tomorrow night on my radio show, I'm going to be doing an album spotlight on the Siege-"Drop dead" demo. It came out in 84, and although it didn't get an official release till 93 on relapse(now out of print), it was hugely influential. Napalm Death covered the song "Walls" in 89 during thier recording session for John Peel's radio show.
Many people say siege invented grindcore.
The show starts at 11, and the spotlight gets underway around 12.
Also lots of the usual punk, grind, and powerviolence.
Tune in tuesday nights from 11-2 to the Gooey Kablooie, on chmr 93.5 fm, or listen on the internet.
