you have to understand that not everyone that'll buy it knows about all the customization. They're targeting A LOT of the ipod crowd...they have a reputation for stability, and if something comes out about it crashing/resetting like the treos (which I have) then it could REALLY hurt them.
You have to also realize that this is the FIRST PHONE they've ever made, so to have something that even crashes at all wouldn't fare well for them. Critics would be all over them...no doubt they're going to be reviewed harder than the others...
