Debatable. Epidemic of Violence as better production and is heavier by miles, but Tortured Existence has slightly catchier songs I guess.....

Evile and Gama Bomb's musical roots go further back than Black Album. Bear in mind that there were thrash bands around before you know haha

Anyways Ocelot, let the cool kids be cool. I was an idiot for expecting people to take me seriously when I mentioned Metallica. All I'll say is it's sold over 22 million copies, so it can't be that bad.

thanks podgie, will do, part of the reason i come here is i hear of so much amazing music. and yeah i hate those aforementioned bands because of the same reasons as lordmoron plus i hate the fans, so many people i know are like. WOW BULLET R SO METAL U GUISE. and im like well... have you heard this? and theyre like man thats shocking doesnt even sound good...... WTF or the worst is when they say yeah thats good but i prefer bullet??? WAT thats like saying i respect your position but seriously check out this CP. some are not worthy of true metulz let them burn in hell jah.

True but there's something ultimately glorious about the sheer unashamed rawness of the first album... and I really like the songs on the first one a lot better... to be fair though I've listened to it a lot more than Epidemic...

I'll admit I tend to listen to the likes of .44 Caliber Brain Surgery and Cataclysm moreso than Aborticide and Skull Fracturing Nightmare, but Epidemic of Violence is one of thoe followups that needs a LOT of listen to eally apreciate it over Tortured Existence. Theres no denying how fucking amazing that band is.

the musicianship of those bands is second rate. much of it isn't really heavy, they play shitty riffs on over-distorted amps and THINK it sounds heavy. if you want to know if a riff is heavy or not put it on an amp with some crunch, not a metal style distortion prdal. if you're still saying "hell fuckin yeah" about it, chances are it's a good heavy riff. lets see. what else? they often play in drop tunings, which is fine on occasion if you know what you're doing. however they don't. really the biggest problem is that they've strayed to far from metal's hard rock roots. I mean look at Bullet's song Scream Aim Fire. it's a good song. it's the only good one on the album, because it has a more hard rock sound to it. on top of that yeah, the fans kill off any redeaming qualities the band may have. the latest trivium album is really quite good, but i stayed away from it for a year because the fans are such little pricks.
