the most true statement of truth ever to be stated

the musicianship of those bands is second rate. much of it isn't really heavy, they play shitty riffs on over-distorted amps and THINK it sounds heavy. if you want to know if a riff is heavy or not put it on an amp with some crunch, not a metal style distortion prdal. if you're still saying "hell fuckin yeah" about it, chances are it's a good heavy riff. lets see. what else? they often play in drop tunings, which is fine on occasion if you know what you're doing. however they don't. really the biggest problem is that they've strayed to far from metal's hard rock roots. I mean look at Bullet's song Scream Aim Fire. it's a good song. it's the only good one on the album, because it has a more hard rock sound to it. on top of that yeah, the fans kill off any redeaming qualities the band may have. the latest trivium album is really quite good, but i stayed away from it for a year because the fans are such little pricks.

Little pricks?

"lololol Trivium's the next Metallica lololololol!11!!!1!1one111!!!eleven!!!11!"

I find no enjoyment what so ever from bands like Avenged, Bullet and Killswitch (to name a few). Nothing clicks with me. I know what I like and I know what I don't like. They're wank.

Also regarding the Black album, that never got me into metal at all, Iron Maiden - Killers is responsible for that. Metallica had no sway in getting me into metal at all.

There. Was that so hard? :)

To be honest

I was in a drunken haze when Grunge and other shitey music came out in the 90's I just withered away and was listening to past glories

Only Evile has managed to restore me back to normality, truth be told I really need to think about this one

Grunge isn't that bad

Alice in Chains? Soundgarden?

I really genuinely couldn't think of any great albums of the 90's

Even SLAYER were pish poor when they came out with diabolus in musica, I fuckin hated that album and I still do

Chaos Ad by Sepultura was great but not brilliant enough to be a classic

I do remember losing heart when Limp Biscuit and Papa Boak came on the scene, I really lost it then
