The New Cradle of Filth Record.

i didnt like the album also, all the songs are bad , they dont have anything interesting to listn to..... and yes the mix is not the best...

i think cradle of filth release this album, just to release something...

cheers...

long live to nymphetamine :Saint:

I agree with you on the kick James, but I just think the song's sound something like Kreator, but with Dani's vocals (how much of this is down Andy mixing both these bands last albums, I'm not sure). I guess it's natural progression though, since they were starting to go that way on Nymphetamine. Just a big part of COF's sound was the keyboards imo and I'm sad to hear less and less keyboards in their music. Same as if Dimmu just stopped making songs with keyboard parts, I think I'd lose interest. Overall, the production is good, but the songs don't do anything for me.

about the kick. im not kissing ass or anything because thats just not my style, i dont play that shit. when i first heard it i didnt know what to think, but only because it was different then what i expected, wich is a GOOD thing because anyone that knows me knows i hate hearing the same production on every album. so after repeated listens i think the kick kicks ass. i think it suits the music just fine and its fucking heavy sounding. cof lost me after midian but i like the way this new shit sounds so far i will admit.

yeah, the kick is weird. the rest of the drums sound really good and also the rest of the album...but that kicksound...hmmm...it's hard to judge..not my really my taste..they allready went this way with nymphetamine after damnation and a day...and that was a big change....
for me still their best album to date...daad

yeah, god forbid you should actually be able to hear beater-on-skin. ... sorry, that kick sounds like... a kick. and NOT a DanMar Click Pad, and for my money, it rules.

i do everyday! come on it's just a matter of taste.. i'm not saying andy did a bad job..everybody has their personal preferences... i just don't feel it's suiting the music how i like to hear it...

lol. right on.. i dig the hell out of the kick.. sounds awesome on a proper set of monitors or in the car.

Just heard the album today, I would say structure wise it's their best to date. Most of the album actually rocks! Listened at work through a small alba portable cd(top of the range though, £19.99!) The only thing that made it fart was a couple of tom hits. I thought the kiks(which seems to be mainly peeps issues) where a tad strange for Cradle for about the first 40 seconds of listening, then everything just seemed to take it's natural place. Personally the keys didn't cause me any problems at all, sounded like some of them were just there because it's pretty much a COF trade mark. I reckon this is the album they should have put out for Sony!!......
After spending touring time with Cradle doing monitors on the Midian tour, me thinks the song writing has come along way, matured some what, gone back to a more basic rocking formula...great album, and worthy of some decent up to date production! Did anybody actually want to hear another COF album that hadn't moved on?....hmm, anyone fancy a pint:kickass:
