The new Martyr

If some of you are interested into Martyr or technical death metal in general, you can hear short samples of the upcoming Martyr's album in the audio section. My opinion on these songs: They rule.
I saw Martyr's drummer live with Horfixion... that guy is a fucking machine.

Dan Mongrain is cool, so I'll check it out when I get a chance. Should have looked into this band a long time ago.

Only skipped through some of the 5 songs on the site. Riffing is really good and I like it. Though the vocals didn't impress me much along with the vocal patterns which are very thrashy, which I'm not too big on but can live with. Gonna listen to it more indepthly tomorrow after I get my mind off these Italian Regents and give you a better glimpse of my opinion on it.

This song I heard Prototype is pretty good at parts. They're trying to mix Cryptopsy and Vintersorg though which is an odd combination.
Pretty good but I'm not crazy about it.

Prototype has insane riffing... Try to get ahold of songs like Warpsone, Endless Vortex Towards Erasing Destiny or Speechless...

Yup, do what Larf03 said. I don't enjoy Dan Mongrain's vox very much either, but he seems to have improved on the new album. He sounds a little more thrash, instead of hardcore.

Yeah... a lot clearer ... his vox lean towards raspy higher pitched slayerish vocales now... I love it!
