the new tool video. . .

I didn't know you guys liked tool.I've been into them these past few weeks. 40 6 and 2 is one of my favorite songs by them. It's funny couse i just watched the video that I downloaded today, and I saw this link and so it was kind of weird. Ticks and leeches is a pretty sweet song. I love the scream at the first. Sounds kind of like in flames. Anyways you guys would probably like the band third eye open, they do a lot of tools songs on cellos. Shism sounds kind of scary towards the end. later

yeah i have the third eye open cd. if you're a Tool fan, you'd be wise to check out a band called Earshot. they sound a lot like tool. in fact, you might convince yourself that they're ripping tool off. in any case, it's good music. . .

At Wednesday's Grammy awards ceremony,
drummer Danny Carey and bassist Justin
Chancellor accepted the award for Best Metal
Performance. Danny thanked "my parents for
putting up with the cacophony, Bientje, and
Satan." Justin thanked "Alex Grey for doing the
artwork, and my mom for doing my dad."

I love that band!

Well, i downloaded some Earshot. They sound like purely a bogstandard nu-metal band who happened to be heavily influenced by Tool's SOUND yet SEVERLY lacking the qualities and technicalites that Tool have (ie all the stuff which makes Tool good and unique, the time signatures, the drumming, the original singing, the hypnotising/entrancing moments, the song structure).

naturally. i didn't say they were innovative or really compare to tool in any way that matters. they just borrow a lot of the basics from tool, and are a bit watered down and mainstream. but it's still decent stuff, objectively speaking.

WTF? Hows come every time I try to open a .zip file, it always goes to my MSN messenger sign in page? HELP!! I WANNA SEE AND I DONT GET CABLE!

I just caught the video again tonight - I flipped on MuchLoud at my work (I work at Rogers Video, so sue me) and it was halfway through. Still an amazing video.

I think Tool is only as overrated as Opeth is. Fans of any band will certainly hype it up because they've developed personal associations and connections with the music (in most cases, with specific albums or songs).

Their music seems so tame, but they're far deeper into Occult doings than almost any inverted-cross-scars-on-foreheads kind of band..

and they never sound cheesy.
