The Occult And The New Album

I got an inside line (don't ask) on the new album. Basically its a concept album which is, obviously, about a Ghost. Heres a basic synopsis of the album's story:

This guy is living a normal life. Successfull career, hot wife, you know stereotypical good life bullshit. So one night he's minding his own business when some hooligan tries to take his wallet but ends up killing him. Well funny thing is the guy doesn't go to the afterworld, quite yet. He's got some unfinished business. Unfortuantely for him though, the only person that can see or hear him is some wacky palm reader. He uses her to speak through to talk to his widow and help him with the general things dead guys can't do. Thing is though the crazy kook is no good in a real combat situation, so he can't just have her hunt down the bad guys. Luckily for him he has a few aces up his sleeve. Being dead he gets cool powers like being able to type things on computers with the out the bad guys being able to see him (TGC is about this) or doing pottery. The album follows his quest for vengeance on those who did him in and his desire to be with the woman he loves.

I don't know about you guys but I can't wait to read the lyrics.

lol yea ghost is the first thing i thought of as well..funny...but actually i was DEAD serious when i posted that link, but i suppose that was just for those truly interested in the OCCULT... , i mean really if u pay attention to Opeth almost everything(in mine own eyes) has something to do with the ...um supernatural does it not? so my thread has to do with discussion upon that subject and the concept of the newest album...so deep thoughts(not by jack handy!) peeps...anyone?

Or hell u know what? , maybe someone(Anna=) could give us a clue as to the recently read books in the Akerfeldt abode?...that would be a nice touch to this thread and certainly one that could bring the fans closer to the MAN himself and his influences in regards to his lyrics...then again that may be asking to much, sometimes it is better to let the listener come to their own interpretations regarding such blissfull themes/music.....

When I saw the title of "The Grand Conjuration", it made me think of something Ozzy said when talking about how people used to think Black Sabbath did black magic and such. His remark was something like "the only thing I've ever conjured is a huge fart in the morning".
