I just heard it,my mother found some of her old S&G albums because I asked her if she had the record w/"Sound of Silence" on it.I finally got to hear the original.Well,it was,ummm...interesting.I played the Nevermore cover for her.She honestly couldn't believe that the cover was of a Simon&Garfunkel song.I explained to her that it was because Nevermore is a metal band and that they did more w/the music than was originally done(like w/the drums). But she still didn't believe me.Oh well, perhaps if I let my father listen to it:rolleyes:

That's because your mom is pot-smoking, cock-sucking bitch. Fuck her, no one gives a shit what she thinks (can you tell I'm pissed about the "I don't want Amy to fuck the cat" comment? Yes, Cynthia told me she said that  I wasn't serious about fucking the cat!)

Ooh, and I know this is a personal conversation thing, but I didn't wanna call back, Darkspot, 'cause I was afraid one of your parents would answer and give me a lecture or perhaps shriek in horror. Gog. All I did was say I wanted to fuck the cat. Oh, and refer to it as your pussy. Oh, and talk about acid trips. Oh, and... damn. Well. Anyway.

"why cant you talk?"
*in hoarse whisper* "because i was singing"
"what were you singing?"
"Pierced From Below, Souls Of My Treacherous Past
Betrayed By Many, Now Ornaments Dripping Above!!!"
"really? interesting"

I screamed something a few days ago, I think it was some of the lyrics in good morning/black friday and my last words by megadeth. It hurt for awhile.

actually my head hurt more since I smashed it against my knee 4 times and twice into a door(headbanging is DANGEROUS)

neck recovered yesterday, back still aches

The original is a damn sight better than nevermore's nu-metal version of it. Goddamn. That groove riff that he sings over, it's a freakin' Korn riff for god's sake.

yeh i scream along all the time to quite a few of my cds haha. about sound of silence...i like the original as well, but i cant agree its better. i think the nevermore version does the lyrics more justice. the lyrics are fucking dark and paul simon plays it like a fuckin pop song.

For the ones that say that the original is great and stuff ....plz check "Sound Of Silence" played by another great seattle band, Heir Apparent...this version of the song is beyond imagination ....
