the more i look at it, i think #1

reason being, i like the large roots and there is a lot of space to put stuff over the logo, like a moon or birds. thinking about what will look best both as logo and for cover art/shirts.

I don't think you should overextend your reach and do birds/moon/etc. I think 3 has the best design and less annoying extra tree/root-lengths and is minimal enough for the project given what I know about it.
