The pics thread

Ah nice what sort of camera do you use? Most of my photos are nature photos as well. That’s pretty cool that the bird was brave enough to land on a person like that. Only really see that happen at the zoo around here

those were all just iphone pics haha, my dad took a couple of those but they were also on an iphone (the bird one and one of the bug ones). i don't know much about photography but my dad's had some photos published over the years.

the bird actually flew into his window so that's why he was able to pick it up, it's not a normal thing here either. you can get robins to eat out of your hand with a bit of work but that's about it. it flew off not long after so it was presumably just dazed.

hey at least i'm not a trainspotter

speaking of, had a red kite and a hobby fly over my yard at the same time the other day, both very unusual to see locally. (these aren't my photos, just from google lol)

Went hiking today. Haven’t been able to mushroom hunt as much as I like because my pregnant wife is a great hindrance lol. Not much to eat but I got a couple really good pictures today.

Xylaria polymorpha, aka Dead Man’s Fingers creeping out from under a stump.

What I believe to be a pile of pulveroboletus ravenelii. I’ve only encountered these in a single spot and they return every year. Edible and you can supposedly make dye with these.

@Krow I was actually going to write a song about the Amanita Verna/Destroying Angel, but it does similar things to the Japanese kaentake (podostroma cornu-damae.) Maybe as a bside.

That edible looking black stuff looks just like mold. Bet it tastes real earthy.

Those orange little mushrooms are adorable <3

I think even I could make a case for electing Trump over Biden and I wouldn't even need to bring up Biden's obvious declining mental faculties. For example, Biden was frothing at the mouth over regime change war in Iraq 5 years before the 2003 invasion. He even tried to lie (or his mind is so mushy now he genuinely believes this) and say he strongly opposed the Iraq invasion.

Say whatever about Trump, but Biden deserves to be buried alive in the middle of nowhere for that alone.

yea there's no case, only pages and pages worth of the mans accomplishments within 4 years of being in office. Letting your hate for someone blind you from the truth is rather pathetic if you ask me.

biden is one of the dirtiest politicians this country has ever had.

Go ahead and make the case for trump then, what do you actually like about him I’m curious

saying because Biden tried to lie once is beyond hypocritical of a reason to support a guy who lies daily
