soMe aged 15 on the right mouthbreathing on account of being at one of the world's smelliest tourist 'attractions'. The gannet colony at Cape Kidnappers. Basically just a great big field of guano. I highly recommend not going there.

hahahahahaYou all think Japan is soooo modern and cutting-edge. It's REALLY not. The people keep it from becoming that way, Japanese people are hell-bent on being culturally stagnant despite all their cool inventions. While they have talking toilets and cat cafes and animated porn featuring babies and toddlers, they still do all their banking on paper, the ATMs close at 9 pm, and if you go anywhere outside the big cities you will be faced with squat toilets with no toilet paper.
Gannets are more closely related to boobies, shags and even penguins. Quite different to a gull. Just some sort of wonder of nature since they nest (& shit) together like that in such huge numbers. It's the largest colony of the particular species that's on mainland as opposed to an island, having gradually grown to about 20,000 birds over the course of 170 years.so
why exactly is a giant field of seagull-poop being called a "tourist attraction"??
