I made a trip out to my old hometown this weekend to do some hiking and get pictures of the fall colors. Here are some of the highlights of the trip. Larger versions available upon request.
The shots with electrical towers in them aren't actually from a real trail in the park I hiked. The top of the trail I was on meets with that clearing where the towers are, and it's only about halfway up the mountain at that point, so I decided to go all the way this weekend. It was a shitload of work, but a lot of fun too.
Yeah, that's the western part of Virginia, where the Appalachians are. I live about an hour and a half from there now, but still close enough to warrant numerous hiking trips there this fall. I have to get out of this damn city every now and then.
