The Great Northern War. The dead king in the painting is Charles XII.

I think it´s called the great nordic war in English,Russia,Denmark and Norway against Sweden. He was shot in the head in a trench in Trondheim. I´ve actually seen the clothes he had on when he got shot,if you´re ever in Stockholm go check it out at the royal museum.

*Edit* Yeah as Vilden said it´s called the great northern war. We lost Finland to Russia in that war.

I'm taking Russian History this year so I'll probably learn a little about it then.

You'll probably hear it referred to as The Great Northern War. It should be called Nordic. That would be fuckin' sweet.
