The pics thread

Am I the only person on this forum that doesnt like cats?

Sometimes I like to tell myself that I don't like them, but then when presented with an opportunity to run one over in the neighborhood I instead impulsively slow down and blurt out "Awwwww kitty cat <3". If it wasn't for allergies I'd like them more. As someone that has had pet birds on and off I do hate ones that roam around through the backyard, however, and would not hesitate to kill one in favor of my pigeon friends.

I like dogs way more than cats. Cats are beautiful but most of them have no soul/personality, and don't like to be touched. What's the point of having a pet if I can't pet them? Bulllllllshit.

so my girlfriend and I went on a trip to Portland, Oregon this past week. 15 hour drive from Los Angeles. We were also supposed to spend a week in Seattle and camping, but apparently I started teaching today. So we just did Portland. Here are some pics:

First of all, let me say the food is stupid good. I may have had the best gnocchi in my life. This breakfast was also ridiculously good. Pork apple sausage and cheese scramble with roasted red potatoes:

we had a blast. We may have even liked it better than San Francisco. Definitely going back again. Beer pictures will be posted in the beer thread

Every time my cat sees me walking by in the house, she runs towards me in order to pet him which last like 10 minutes.

You really can't tell what you're gonna get with cats. My roommate's cat is a sassy black female who seemed super sedated and silent at the shelter, and mine, well, he hides unless you put him in a room with you - then he'll cuddle you and eat and drink just fine.

Photos from hiking DICKS MOUNTAIN on Saturday below. #6 Adirondack high peak. We weren't in a hurry, took us about 9 1/2 hours to go 13.3 miles.
