Just got back from a 3 week holiday in Tasmania. It's got a bit of everything.

Where abouts were you?

We used to follow the woodchopping comps around back in the 80's. All the big shows, all the Saturday sports show on TV. Dave Foster is from Tassie, he's probably one of the best ever to swing an axe and fuck he's a big boy.

We happened to be at Port Arthur when the Boxing Day woodchop carnival was on. Didn't find a chance to watch more of it unfortunately. The two absolute units on the right in my photo reminded me of Big Lez slaughtering choomahs.

We saw Hobart and the other 3 coasts. We pretty much just missed the middle - Cradle Mountain, Great Lake etc.

Considering you can drive from the top to the bottom of Tassie in about 2 hours you did well spending three weeks. It's a nice place until the wind blows. I've got relatives up in the top right corner
