Like what? I've not run into a single program so far apart from Kerio Firewall (which has sucked since Sunbelt took it over anyway so fuck it) that isn't Vista compatible. Perhaps you should be switching to programs that are still actively maintained.

To use Soulseek. Install it, etc. Right click on it, go to properties, compatability, check Run this program in compatibility mode for, and select Windows XP Service Pack 2.

Good call. It seems that the programs I use have been made fully compatible while I had my back turned. My biggest concerns were originally with Dbpoweramp and Truecrypt. I can't have either of them fail me. Though I do have a copy of Vista, I still won't install it because I only have one gig of RAM and Vista still doesn't offer me anything new that I need.
One gig will get the job done with Vista. If you have a bunch of programs to sift through to find what you want, the search function is awesome.

All this toiling has led me to discover a new version of Foobar2k has been released. It seems damn cool so far. My only complaint is the lack of a default layout which allows you to see the meta-data, visualization, and album art all on one screen.
