No way. If you get payed that much in the army, I'm signing up.

Or do those not cost as much as they look like they cost?

My brother has an apartment off campus and he has three wall hangers in his room. I think he asked the landlord's permission first, but even if he didn't, he's good enough at the do-it-yourself stuff, that he'll conceal any evidence that they were there before he moves out. He even built his own computer desk and bed frame, and other students have payed him to build their beer pong tables.

Between my brother and me, we have about as many guitars as he does, but we didn't spent very much money on most of them. You can find some really good deals on eBay if you're patient enough.

no, they look like what they cost. it IS your tax dollars at work. here's the thing, i'm single. i dont have kids to feed, or a family to support. i average about 2400 a month (E4 with housing and food allowances), so i do pretty well for a guy my age. plus my most exspensive basses are purched when i'm deployed. so i'm making a little extra and i dont have daily exspenses like food, gas, rent... easy to save up a couple grand

i'm stocking up for when i have a family though. cuz the pay increases for family sized housing/food just dont cut it. so once i have a family, no more guitars :(
